No more playing catch at the games . . .

August 2018

To the Families and Friends of the Metro League Schools:

The seven Metro League schools are excited for the start of another Fall season! The Metro League has always experienced tremendous community support for all of our sports and activities. We look forward to the start of another fantastic year of competition and camaraderie amongst our student-athletes.

The seven Metro League Principals have outlined several changes to our Friday night football game expectations to ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all fans. We ask that our home and visiting fans adhere to the following Metro League expectations for each school during Friday night varsity football games:

1. Elementary & Middle-School aged kids need to have an adult accompany them in order to enter.

2. We are asking that all elementary and middle-school students remain in the stands unless at concessions or restrooms. Throwing of footballs and/or hanging out in unsupervised areas is not allowed.

3. No backpacks or skateboards will be allowed into stadiums.

4. No outside beverages for any aged students will be allowed into stadiums.

We would greatly appreciate not only your support, but also the communication and follow through with your students. Our intent is to make our Friday night football games a community event that is safe and enjoyable for all spectators.

Good luck to all of our Metro League schools as they embark upon the 2018-19 season!

If you have any questions, please contact the Athletic Director or Principal of your feeder high school.

Sincerely,

The Principals of the Metro League
